balade in the “carré des simples”from a plant to an essential oil, in Provence
Long cypress trees and beautiful eucalyptus on one side, platains and cedar trees on the other side, here is the right place for a special garden to enhance our visit. Cicadas sing, even the heat seems to be singing. The vibrating air is not refreshing enough as the mistral wind does not yet blow over this beautiful odorant promenade in the “carré des simples”.
This is a garden not like anyoneelse where lavander and lavandine with this caracteristic blue sky in Provence, tansy and elecampane, and a little further a giant sunflower surveys the garden fromits threemeters height, the pastel blue of wild thyme and the small and fine white flowers of savory grow together…the olive trees almost tumble under theweight of somany olives, and colors of the leaves seem ressemble those of officinalis sage ; the long clary sage disturbes or pleases with its acre smell as its magnificent white and pink flowers are a wonder for the eyes.
